EOTC Trip to the Faraday Centre and the MTG (Museum Theatre Gallery)

Yesterday we had a fantastic trip over in Napier at the Faraday Centre and MTG. We got to experiment a lot with light at the Faraday Centre and saw some amazing local art at the MTG. It inspired great discussions and thinking around our inquiry question this term-'Are you a Scientist or an Artist?' Quite a few of us are unsure and would like to learn more, and delve into both!! Almost everyone has changed their minds at least once this term!😊🎨💡

Food from around the world!

WOW! What a great start to Term Two for Team Tekau! I really enjoyed sharing our food from around the world and getting to know each other! Have a great rest tonight, read a story and I look forward to seeing everyone with great HUGE attitudes tomorrow! 😊 Miss Birrell

Jeremy Visits Team Tekau

Last week Kimberley-Ann's Aunty Wendy arrived with a very special visitor.
Everyone crowded around and then got to meet...  Jeremy!

What a cutie!

Kimberly-Ann's Aunty Wendy explained what she feeds Jeremy
He's so tiny his eyes haven't opened up yet!
Jeremy is a two week old baby hedgehog who was all alone. He is being fed special cat milk with egg yolk. When he gets a bit bigger he will eat jellimeat. He is super cute and we hope he can visit us again, perhaps when he has his eyes open.
Do you know anything about hedgehogs?

It's good to be back!

We all think it's GREAT to be back at school. Check out these kids who are thrilled to be out in the sun, having a yummy lunch and enjoying catching up with their mates. The smiles say it all!
