    1. Hi Mathias :) I have not seen the movie yet but I have heard that it is hilarious. There is a movie theatre here in Melbourne that has bean bags that you sit on to watch the movie. How cool is that? I haven't been there yet but maybe I will go and see the Lego movie and take my grandkids. Happy Easter!

  3. On the 18th of April when it was time to go to bed, when I was in the shower I put in a tiny bit of soap in a bucket and filled the bucket till it overflowed with bubbles. In about 5 mins the shower was like a pool of foam. Of course I had to drain it.

    1. Hi Mathias - what a cool thing to try and of course the shower is the perfect place to experiment with bubbles and foam because it's easy to clean up. Glad you are keeping buy. Have you been doing lots of reading? What is the weather like in Hastings? It's been sort of chilly here and quite cloudy but the sun is trying to come out today. Going to take the kids fishing soon. Happy Easter!

  5. Hi Bianca :) Great to hear that you are enjoying Taupo. Is it nice and warm there? Lucky the Easter Bunny was able to find you all - he even found us here in Melbourne. He left me a big half egg filled with some delicious looking chocolates, well they look yummy but I haven't tried any yet. Have fun & make sure you and Jarrod don't eat too much and get a tummy ache! 10. Hi Ezrah :) Not long to wait until your birthday now! Have you got something exciting planned? It rained all day here in Melbourne so we went to the aquarium. I loved the penguins, seahorses and could not get over how big a salt water crocodile can be. The one we saw was absolutely ENORMOUS! Thank goodness we don't have any of them in NZ. I went shopping int he afternoon and got something really special for Room 10… It's a surprise!

    1. Hi Destiny-Paige! When I was in Melbourne I saw HEAPS of snakes! Luckily they were all at the Aquarium or the Zoo in special enclosures so you could look at them but were safe. I'm glad we don't have any in NZ! I loved the bright green tree snake I saw at the zoo. It was such a pretty colour :)

  15. On Anzac Day Dad Thor and I got in the car and drove to Wellington. Thren we caught an All Blacks plane to Christchurch. Our Aunty and Uncle and cousins picked us up and took us to Granny and Grandad's house. It was dark and we sssneaked inside and shouted out "SURPRISE!!" Grandad said "What the ?...." He was VERY surprised.. We went there because he was lonely, sad and a bit grumpy because he has to have crutches after his operation on his ankle. He is happy now!

  16. Hi Mathias :) What a super surprise for your Granny and Grandad. I bet he felt much less grumpy when you all arrived. I hope his ankle is on the mend. Have fun down there!

  17. For Easter my whole family played egg on the spoon and my mum and dad tied string to lots of Easter eggs and tied the string to the ribbon. We had to stay on our knees and we couldn't use our hands we had to keep them behind our backs. Some of us had to tie string to our hands. It was so funny the sting wobbled and we kept missing the egg. Mum took a video of us and we watched it. from Bostyn.

  18. Mrs Perry have you seen a Pythone??? Destiny

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes Destiny-Paige, I saw several pythons at the Melbourne Zoo. One was a carpet python that eats rats, possums, birds and lizards. Luckily this python, which you find in Australia in the wild is not poisonous, but it has a nasty bite. I thought the green pythons were very pretty. They were a lovely bright colour and were all curled up around branches. I never saw any of the snakes move so they must have been asleep. Did you know, snakes do not have eyelids!
