Celebrating Matariki with our Tuakana Teina buddies from the Piki Pod

This week in Team Tekau we have enjoyed getting to know our Tuakana Teina buddies from the Piki Pod.  It is a great way to get to know the younger children in our school, and to help them with their learning.  This week, we've created name badges, read together, sung songs, danced and made kites.  The best part was flying kites together on Friday afternoon as part of our Matariki celebrations, although the weather did turn a bit so we couldn't stay out quite as long as we would have liked.  Thanks for sharing with us Piki Pod kids!
