  4. Hi Everyone in Room 10. Mrs Mathews here. I miss all you guys too. I had my first day with Year 8 kids yesterday. They are rather big and sometimes I have to remind them about manners. I remember such wonderful manners from you all in Room 10. I bet you are still some of the most polite kids at Mahora School. I thought about your WOW day and I bet it was exciting. I hope I can read all about your adventures this term on your blog. My kids are investigating tunnels and bridges and finding out how we get under them and over them. We are coming to see a bridge near you, one day soon. The bridge at Whakatu on the bike trail. Have you seen it? We want to find out how it was made and what sort of bridge it is. Remember those beautiful flowers you all gave me last term? Well the bright pink ones are still blooming and everytime I walk past them I blow fairy dust all the way to Room 10 at Mahora School. Have you felt a little tingle on top of your hair? Well that could be the dust winging your way to say hello and sending you lots of love from me. Nina, a special little person came up to me at Twyford yesterday and said he was your cousin. What a cutie .....nearly as cute as you! Take care of Mrs Perry and give Zoe and Isla a gentle little squeeze of the hand from me when they come into see you. Love all you guys and girls in Room 10. Keep on climbing upwards and onwards and have fun with your learning. Look forward to hearing all about it.

    1. Thanks so much Mrs Mathews for your lovely message. We were all so excited to hear from you and it made us feel so, so special! We all felt a little tingle so it must have been the fairy dust you blew to us. Ka pai! Twyford kids are really lucky to have you! Make sure you don't stay up too late doing work at night or early in the morning. :) xox PS We would love you to share what kind of bridge that is in Whakatu once your class have done some research. We think it's a very unusual one.
