Omomatopoiea

We have been learning to enhance our writing by using onomatopoeia.
Onomatopoeia is word that mimics the sound of the object or action it refers to.
We  used the iPads today to share an example of onomatopoeia in an interesting way.
Tino pai rawa atu - Excellent work Room 10!

    1. Thanks for posting your comment Bostyn. I really like the visual presentations too. It will be interesting to see how many students use some onomatopoeia in their writing.

  4. Hmmmm - Not sure Mathias. I have decided to trail Sketchbook and I think it was a great app to use for the Onomatopoeia Activity. You probably have to pay for Sketchbook Pro so we would have to see if the features it has are something we need. Thanks for the question :)

    1. Mrs Perry, at the moment we have Sketchbook Express on the iPads. For Pro you do need to pay about $6.45. If you love Express you'll love Pro!

    2. Will keep you informed Mathias. If we decide that the features on Express are really great then we'll look at the Pro version. I'm sure we'll love it but money is an issue and we have to trial apps to see if they are ones we use a lot. I think we are the only class using Sketchbook at the moment.
