Art Deco Fun

We really enjoyed our Art Deco Day on Monday. The Vintage Car Club brought 6 beautiful cars to school and every child had a ride in one! Even Mrs Perry had a ride! It was so much fun. Have a look at these super photos and keep an eye out as there will be some students writing published about the day soon. The girls looked gorgeous in their headbands and the boys were very handsome in their bow ties.

Family Night

It was fabulous to see so many families come along to our class meetings and get together this evening. Thank you so much for your attendance. The sausages were cooked to perfection and the bouncy castle was lots of fun but challenging for some people…

Swimming!

We have two swimming groups - Dolphins and Sharks. We are learning how to move through the water with a streamlined body position on our fronts and backs. Great to see the progress many students are making with regular practise. Remember to bring your togs everyday!

Our Clip Chart

Room 10 students are learning to be responsible and to make super learning choices in the classroom. Our clip chart tracks how we are going as we move our pegs up and sometimes even off the chart! Students whose pegs are 'off the chart' at the end of the day get to add a special piece of bling. It's great to see so many super learners in our classroom! Have you 'blinged' your peg yet?

Week 2 Shared Reading

Last week our shared book was a non-fiction book called Blue Eggs. We learned lots of interesting facts about the song thrush. Some of us used Book Creator on the iPads to share what they learned and others made fact balls. They look fabulous hanging up in our classroom!

 Nathan from Room 10 let his zebra finches Charlie and Poppy visit for the afternoon. They were very cute but also very noisy!

First Day of School!

What a fabulous first day back we had in Room 10.
It was wonderful to have everyone arrive smiling and ready for a year of great learning.
